Thinking of Buying a Home? It’s That Time!

As winter winds down we’re all looking forward to spending more time out-and-about. It’s also the kick-off of the official home buying season.

From April 1st through the end of July more homes go on the market and are sold than at any other time of year.

While the economy is improving, interest rates are still very low, so if you’ve been thinking about this for a while, now might be a good time.

PRICES UP WHILE SALES WERE DOWN

The median sales price for a home in Denver from Dec 10, 2010 to Feb 11, 2011 was $179,000 based on 1,717 home sales. Compared to the same period a year ago, the median home sales price increased 2.3%, or $4,000, while the number of home sales actually decreased 19.9%.

Popular neighborhoods in Denver include Green Valley Ranch and Stapleton, with average listing prices of $168,379 and $333,728. I’m familiar with so many neighborhoods in Denver Metro and can help you find the house that’s perfect for you.
